This Berber carpet, known as Azilal, gets its name from the Azilal region in Morocco where it was handcrafted on a traditional wooden loom. Its patterns represent the moods, loves, and sorrows of the weaver at the time of its creation. Once this colorful Berber carpet is created, she will make another one entirely different, based on her emotions at the time. Each piece is therefore unique. This Berber carpet represents over a month of weaving. Discover in a video how THEM Berber carpets are created by clicking here. Our carpets with a white background and colorful designs always have a white wool background. The colors can be either cotton or wool. The very bright colors are generally cotton, and the colors with a more natural look are wool. Our fully colored carpets are 100% wool. DELIVERY All packages are shipped from France. It should be kept in mind that these historically rich pieces are not primarily intended to be decorative objects. Berber women weave and use them as blankets or rugs for insulation. The exceptional quality of the weaving allows Berber carpets to last over time and age very well. To maintain it, you can vacuum it once a week at most to avoid damaging the wool. If you cannot shake it, turn it over for a few hours once a month, and all the deep-seated dust will fall off. In case of a stain, dab it immediately with a cloth soaked in water, often that is sufficient. Otherwise, add some alcohol vinegar or Marseille soap with plenty of water.Learn more
