This Berber rug known as Azilal takes its name from the Azilal region in Morocco, where it was handcrafted on a traditional wooden loom. Its patterns represent the weaver's moods, loves, and sorrows at the time of its creation. Once this colorful Berber rug is created, she will make another one completely different, based on her current emotions. Each piece is therefore unique. This Berber rug represents over a month of weaving. Watch a video to see how THEM Berber rugs are created by clicking here. Our rugs with a white background and colorful designs always have a white wool background. The colors can be either cotton or wool. The very bright colors are usually in cotton, while the colors with a more natural look are in wool. Our fully colored rugs are 100% wool. DELIVERY All packages are sent from France. Keep in mind that these historically laden pieces are not primarily meant to be decorative objects. Berber women weave and use them as blankets or rugs for insulation. The exceptional quality of the weaving allows Berber rugs to withstand time and age very well. To maintain it, you can vacuum it once a week at most to avoid damaging the wool. If you can't shake it, turn it over for a few hours once a month, and all the deep-seated dust will fall out. In case of a stain, dab it immediately with a cloth soaked in water; often, this is sufficient. Otherwise, add some alcohol vinegar or Marseille soap with plenty of water.Learn more
