CUSTOMIZED SERVICE
If you have fallen in love with this Berber carpet but it is not the right size, or if you would like to make color or design modifications, contact [email protected] and we will have it custom-made for you by a weaver we collaborate with, and always at a reasonable price!
This Berber carpet, known as Azilal, gets its name from the Azilal region in Morocco where it was handmade on a traditional wooden loom. Its patterns represent the moods, loves, and sorrows of the weaver at the time of creation. Once this colorful Berber carpet is made, she will create another one totally different, based on her current emotions. Each piece is therefore unique.
This Berber carpet represents over a month of weaving. Watch a video to see how THEM Berber carpets are created by clicking here.
Our carpets with a white background and colored designs always have a white wool background. The colors can be either cotton or wool. Very bright colors are usually cotton, while colors with a more natural look are wool. Our fully colored carpets are 100% wool.

Surprisingly, Berber carpets are easy to maintain. Keep in mind that these historically charged pieces are not primarily intended to be decorative objects. Berber women weave and use them as blankets or rugs for insulation. The exceptional quality of the weaving allows Berber carpets to withstand the test of time and age very well.
To maintain it, you can vacuum it once a week at most to avoid damaging the wool. If you can't shake it, turn it over for a few hours once a month, and all the deep-seated dust will fall out. In case of a stain, immediately dab it with a cloth soaked in water, often that's enough. Otherwise, add some rubbing alcohol or Marseille soap with plenty of water.
