"THEM is a selection of handmade objects that I find in the 4 corners of the world. There are ceramics, incense, plant pots but also and especially Berber carpets. Many Berber carpets. I work directly with the artisans. For example, for the Berber carpets, I go very regularly to Morocco in the beautiful mountains of the Middle Atlas. And so I buy my Berber carpets directly from the source, from the women weavers. No purchases at the Maison et Objets fair. No purchase in the souk in Marrakech where many intermediaries have intervened and inflated the price. It is a way of working that is different but which allows me to have control over the remuneration of artisans. In my vision of things, those are the women weavers of Berber carpets who have the talent. It was therefore an essential point for me. It also allows me to buy at the right price to offer my customers fair and affordable rates. So for example at THEM, all my selection of Berber carpets is between 150 and 490euros!"
