CUSTOMIZED SERVICE
If you have fallen in love with this Berber carpet but the size you need is not available, or if you would like to make color or design modifications, contact [email protected] and we will have it custom-made for you by a weaver we collaborate with!
This Berber carpet, known as Azilal, gets its name from the Azilal region in Morocco where it was handcrafted on a traditional wooden loom. Its patterns represent the weaver's moods, loves, and sorrows at the time of creation. Once this colorful Berber carpet is created, she will make another one completely different, based on her current emotions. Each piece is therefore unique.
This Berber carpet represents over a month of weaving. Watch a video to see how Them Berber carpets are created by clicking here.
Our carpets with a white background and colorful designs always have a white wool background. The colors can be either cotton or wool. Very bright colors are usually cotton, while colors with a more natural look are wool. Our fully colored carpets are 100% wool.

Surprisingly, Berber carpets are easy to care for. Keep in mind that these historically significant pieces are not primarily intended as decorative objects. Berber women weave and use them as blankets or floor coverings for insulation. The exceptional quality of the weaving allows Berber carpets to withstand the test of time and age very well.
To care for it, you can vacuum it once a week at most to avoid damaging the wool. If you cannot shake it out, turn it over for a few hours once a month to allow deep-seated dust to fall out. In case of a stain, immediately dab it with a cloth dampened with water, as this often suffices. Otherwise, add some rubbing alcohol or Marseille soap with plenty of water.
