Picture rugs!
Here we meet artist Marguerite Bartherotte, creator of the G.Kero Paris brand and THEM's know-how.
You may already know Marguerite as the designer of the very cheerful Cap Ferret clothing brand. Known for her drawings of animals, women, rock icons and sumptuous, dreamy landscapes on clothing, this time the artist is tackling carpets, and it's with great excitement that we unveil this colorful collaboration. Featuring works ranging from 2m x 3m to the collection's flagship rug, WATAOUN, these picture rugs are here to dress up your interiors and even your winter terraces!
It was with THEM that Marguerite Bartherotte was introduced to the joys of seeing her abstract compositions become sheepskin ornaments with a thousand colors and a "solid, wonderful feel", as she puts it: "Bringing colorful shenanigans to an object as magical as a Berber carpet was a dream for me, and if it works, then I'm really never going to stop. I collect area rugs. They're so beautiful in a house. It can brighten up any place, it's noble to the touch and it's an invitation to sit on the floor, to be more composed and ready for the kids too!"
